Abstract Submission Guidelines

AP PEDICON 2026 invites original scientific work for presentation in the Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, and eligible Award Category. All abstracts must be submitted online through the official conference website and should follow the guidelines mentioned below.

Paper Presentation

Selected abstracts will be allotted oral paper presentation. Presentations should be clear, concise and scientific, and must follow the specified presentation duration and format.

Poster Presentation

Accepted abstracts will be presented as poster or e-poster. The presenter must be available during the designated judging or presentation session.

General Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be submitted online through the conference website.
  • Submission language must be English.
  • Presenting author must be registered for the conference.
  • Abstracts must contain original scientific work.
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to decide on acceptance and the presentation category.
  • The decision of the Scientific Committee will be final.

Abstract Format Requirements

All abstracts should be structured using the following headings, wherever applicable:

Title
Background / Introduction
Objectives
Methods
Results
Conclusion

Important Note

  • Maximum word limit: 300 words.
  • No tables, images, or references are allowed in the abstract.
  • Use standard abbreviations only.

🏅 Award Category Guidelines

Who Can Submit?

  • Candidate must be pursuing or have completed DNB (Pediatrics) / MD (Pediatrics) / DM Neonatology / DrNB Neonatology / Fellowship in Neonatology.
  • Applicants should be currently undergoing the course or should have completed the course after 01 January 2026 at the time of submission.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Gold Medal is awarded to research papers done in the field of Neonatology during the candidate’s tenure.
  • No member should submit more than one Award Paper as presenting author.
  • The Award Paper submitted should not have been presented earlier at any conference or awarded elsewhere before the final presentation.
  • Papers already published in scientific journals by the time of presentation will not be considered.
  • The paper should relate to original work carried out in India within the last 5 years.
  • Conference registration is mandatory for participation.

Manuscript Submission Details

  • Abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • Complete manuscript should not exceed 2500 words.
  • Authors should follow the Journal of Neonatology Guidelines for manuscript preparation.
  • Maximum allowed: 4 Tables and 2 Figures.

Presentation Guidelines

  • Selected authors will be given 10 minutes to present their research during the conference.
  • Selection will be based on preliminary scientific screening.
  • The decision of the panel of judges will be final and binding on all concerned.

Important – Award Category

Only original and unpublished scientific research in Neonatology will be considered for the Award Category.

Paper Presentation Guidelines

  • Selected abstracts will be allotted oral paper presentation.
  • Presentation duration: 8 Minutes + 2 Minutes Discussion.
  • Presentation must be in PPT format.
  • Slides should be clear, concise, and scientific.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

  • Accepted abstracts will be presented as poster or e-poster.
  • Poster should include Title, Authors, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Poster size and format details will be shared after acceptance.
  • Presenter must be available during the judging session.
